Full and part time Sales Assistants.
Sales Assistants assist the store management with all aspects of the daily operation of the store. The main tasks include – but are not limited to – approaching and assisting members of the public with technical advice on various outdoor equipment, cleaning and housekeeping, preparing for sale or promotional events, and assisting at events such as our tent shows in the summer and ski tests in the winter.
Staff provide advice on everything from rucksacks and summer clothing to winter sports equipment and basic climbing gear. Staff also fit customers with technical footwear, rucksacks and ski boots. Full training will be provided for these, so successful applicants will need a willingness to learn and take on a lot of information. Previous experience in any of these fields will be advantageous.
Working hours are generally between 9am and 5:30pm, full time hours are five days a week. Though this is subject to change according to seasonal demand.
It is essential that applicants have an interest in outdoor sports, preferably winter sports, as this is the core of our business. No previous retail experience is necessary, though will be preferred, as full training will be provided.
